PRISM IS AVALIABLE ON THIS EVENT!

A PRISMan is a groopie fan of PRISM... Why...“Men and women tend to be much more similar in their responses to risk than the popular Mars-versus-Venus understanding would imply,” she states in her paper, “Are Women Really More Risk-Averse Than Men? A Re-Analysis of the Literature Using Expanded Methods.” The Journal of Economic Surveys published the paper in July.

Men generally enjoy the challenge of risk.  We like to better ourselves through struggle and to test ourselves in the face of danger and sometimes insurmountable odds.  We like the feeling of knowing that we can handle every situation that comes along and if we were as risk averse as women and we shied away from risk, we wouldn't know our ability as much.  We wouldn't be as self assured.  A man who has risked and has won more than he has lost has been tempered and hardened. He knows where he stands in the universe.

Women seem to be more comfortable not knowing where they stand as long as they feel assured that their safety isn't in danger, that their goals are within reach, and they needs will be provided.  With this type of personality, there is little benefit of risk.
